THE FIRST ANNUAL CHUMSTICK FILM FESTIVAL
A celebration of guerilla filmmaking. Underground Writers, Directors, Actors… Zero-Budget Filmmakers… This is the short-film fest for you. Go Guerilla. It doesn’t matter what equipment you have, just so long as you have a passion for making movies - We Want YOU
We want to see the machinations of your mind made manifest. Reveal to us the beauty you can create with the instruments you possess. Release your inhibitions. Show the world your mettle.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
All approved films will be publicly screened at an in-person festival event in December (exact date TBD). The screening will be in the Northern Virginia/D.C. area, and all eligible films will be voted on and nominated for various audience and jury awards!
All submissions must have a runtime between 3 and 20 minutes including all credits. Submissions exceeding the time limit will not be accepted.
Although we encourage pushing the envelope, submissions may be rejected for hateful, bigoted, and/or pornographic content. Festival directors will always retain the final say in which submissions will and will not be screened at the live event.
Submissions must have full credits for all involved in the making of the film.
Please include a 1280x720 thumbnail for your submission, in addition to any posters or other promotional images you would like to optionally include.
All entries MUST BE SUBMITTED BY DECEMBER 1st.

WHO ARE WE?
Forged in the crucible of passion, we were born out of an innate hunger for filmmaking. Esoteric storytelling and compounding lore are our modus operandi.
We’ve been weaving stories through the medium of film since 2015. After cutting our teeth on high school film projects such as The Watch and Petronius and Livy: A Roman Romance (LATIN PROJECT), a fire was lit in our bellies. Our projects left the sullen classroom walls, and entered the terrifying realm of guerilla filmmaking. Suddenly, a deeper lore began to take shape.
